Vista Scares Me

In Uncategorized on February 28, 2007 at 11:54 pm

Here’s a story of an OS gone bad. Beyond bad. Evil.

I installed Vista on someone’s laptop. It was working fine for about a week then, somehow, the graphics card (not sure but it’s my best guess) failed. You could see things but there were lines everywhere and you couldn’t go into Vista. Clearing it and putting XP seemed to have repaired most of the problem… until it, again, stopped working. Now I’m fearing for my MacBook Pro’s life. I don’t want to get stuck with a very expensive paperweight! Plus all this “only Ultimate and Buisness in virtual machines” (which they seem to blame on bugs and holes. *Gasp* A flawed Microsoft product!) is pissing me off! I payed for Parallels to enjoy it (and I’ll probably pay again if they come out with that 3D support.) not to have it rot in my Applications folder. And there’s the fact I would have full support of XP with Boot Camp. I think I’m going to be going back to XP, then. No sense using an OS that the only new feature I use is the capability of making me fear using my computer.
