Fun Week

In Apple, Mac, Wii on July 31, 2007 at 10:02 pm

Next week is going to be interesting. First off, my “Summer Wii Game” is being released : Boogie. And now, it seems we might see all new iMacs. It’s been confirmed: There’s a Apple press event on the 7th. Maybe they’ll finally come around to releasing iLife and iWork ’07. *cough* freeupdate *cough*

Since I no longer use the-alt.net for my reviews, I created two pages where you can view some of my Wii and DS reviews. Check them out on the menu bar of the blog.

The Doctor is In

In Uncategorized on July 26, 2007 at 10:10 pm

I’m not a big fan of Sci-Fi. The most “out there” thing I watch is LOST. Well… it was the most “out there” thing. There’s this show the CBC decided to offer to view online for free. One that I didn’t care much for when it first appeared on CBC a couple of years ago because it seemed too “out there”. Well, I’ve read up on it a bit before and decided that, hey, it’s free. Why not?

That show is Doctor Who. David Tennant is hilarious. It’s more of a Sci-Fimedy with a healthy dose of action and suspense. That and the fact it sounds and looks like a quality production makes it easy to watch, because tacky just isn’t enjoyable unless it’s to be laughed at. Ever since I discovered it, I catch new episodes online every Tuesday. Canadian surfers can too by visiting the CBC’s Doctor Who site. I would buy the last two seasons of the series’ relaunch if it weren’t for the fact they’re overpriced.

Coming Up!

In DS, Wii on July 19, 2007 at 7:30 pm

I’m off again next week although I should be able to get some Internet access where I’m going. Just so you know, I have my review of Harry Potter for Wii all done. I just need to check a couple of things before I can post it. I’m also playing Sim City DS so I might review it too. I might do a video review of Paper Mario and I will probably do one for Boogie so keep an eye out for that. And as always, check out my web comic, EON, at the-alt.net (or directly at eonen.smackjeeves.com).

Boogie Time

In Wii on July 17, 2007 at 9:25 pm

Boogie is my next Wii Game. I’m not a big signer but this seems hard to pass up. I’m hoping for a kind of EBA for Wii with this. It’ll probably fall short of that (No wacky stories) but it’s the next best thing to an actual EBA for Wii. In any case, the soundtrack seems to be a lot like EBA’s : All over the place. EA has an iMix up on the US iTunes Store with the Boogie Soundtrack. Let me just say this : I will hide from roaming eyes and make sure no one can hear me when I have to sing “Don’t Cha”.

Didn’t miss much, eh?

In Wii on July 16, 2007 at 3:24 pm

Some release dates. A few announcements. Not much. I do like that the Wi-Fi Connection is being expanded a lot. And knowing that Mario Kart is coming soon is obviously good. I think I’m not alone when I say I had only mild interest in Wii Fit at first but now I’m thinking about getting it. Although the whole “Fit” angle is a bit odd at first, Nintendo is cashing in on Wii Sports’ “Video Games as fitness” title. It can easily become the next “Wii Sports” for mass-market appeal.

Now, I’m off to cash in my 2000 Wii Points Card and get Paper Mario.

What Did I Miss?

In Apple, DS, Wii on July 15, 2007 at 12:07 pm

Two weeks. Nearly no Internet access. I entirely missed E3. I have more spam than a supermarket. I might crash Google Reader if I access it. Geting up to speed might take a while.
